| Message: This weekend Amy and I have been rehabbing a bit, and Emmett has been helping. While I was pulling nails from baseboards and trim, Emmett has been putting the nails into a bucket, which he would cover with the lid from a roasting pan. I asked him was he was doing and he replied "It's hot!" Surprised how a bucket full of bent old nails was "hot" I decided to investigate. "Why is it hot?" I asked. "Soup, Cooking, Hot" He replied. Now I understood. Emmett was making nail soup. And by his experience, anything in a cooking pot was always "hot". |

| Message: As the summer comes to and end and school starts back up, it's time to upload some pictures from our camera and remember the dog days of the 2008 summer.  Ahh the good ole summer naps in the early afternoon.  And the cool mocha drinks that mom would bring home to share.  One Friday afternoon, Emmett hopped up on a chair and helped dad punch down the dough to make Stromboli.  Then he helped eat the pepperoni before it was baked.  And who doesn't top off their summer evenings without their very own bucket of Ben and Jerry's? |

| Message: The past couple of weeks Emmett has been singing songs around the house, and even asking mom and dad to sing them with him. Amongst his current favorites are: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star The ABC's Happy Birthday A Peanut Sat on a Railroad Track The Itsy Bitsy Spider and Pop Goes The Weasel. Every once in a while, you'll hear him walking around saying "goes Weasel!" |

| Message: Yesterday Amy was standing next to Emmett who was playing in the front seat of dad's car. Emmett often likes to pretend he's driving. He'll jump into the front seat, honk the horn, play with the radio knobs, and adjust the air conditioning controls. Yesterday, being very sneaky, Emmett picked up a penny and slipped it into the factory CD player in my car. Did you know you can feed pennies into the CD player of a Ford Focus, and it will still play CDs? Neither did I until today. |
