| Message: "Today Emmett and Dad went up to visit mom at work for lunch today. Emmett decided not to fall asleep in the car on the way there, but rather, talk the whole way! (a first for him I think) Dad didn't get to eat lunch with mom, so he stopped at Burger King on the way home. (anyone surprised?) Burger King puts their french fries in what they like to call a ""Frypod."" I wonder if they're trying to capture our attention by naming it similar to the ever-popular iPod? " |

| Message: "Emmett has discovered that he has a voice and can get attention by using it. He is very conversational, even at 3am, when I'm trying to feed him, he'd rather talk to daddy. Tonight during one of his cooing sessions Chris started bouncing his thumb on Emmett's lips (think about how you would make indian whoops for yourself) creating a laugh for all, Grumpy, who was on the phone with mommy was able to identify the sound quickly--one of the benefits of being the grandparent who has already done such things to your own child. :-) " |
