| Message: This afternoon Emmett was reading one of his big chunky cardboard books. In the cover of the book was an audio dvd enclosed in plastic. Emmett managed to rip the dvd out of the sleve and chew on it. I guess you could say he was having his first taste of technology! |

| Message: "This afternoon Emmett was loosing interest in his box in the living room that he'd been playing with all week. So tonight, I took a cut a window in the side of his box to give it a more interesting aspect. He loved playing Peek A Boo with Amy in the box!" |

| Message: "This afternoon we braved the heat and humidity and went blackberry picking! As soon as we walked out into the rows of blackberries Emmett started kicking his feet and waving his arms, wanting to reach out for the berries on the vines. He was successful in grabbing a couple from the vine without smashing them. He would take a blackberry to his lips, suck on them for just a second and then *pop* sucked the whole berry in his mouth. Within seconds blackberry droole would come running back out of his mouth and down his chin. He ate so many blackberries that his belly was full. I think he loved them!" |
