Earlier this week Amy made some peanut-butter and chocolate cookies.

After they cool, we like to stick them into the freezer and make them cold/hard.

I was enjoying one of these frozen treats the other night, when Garrison reached down, took it out of my hands, and shoved it into his mouth.

For those who are freaking out knowing that Garrison ate peanut-butter before he turned 1 year old, know that we kept a cautious eye on him, and are happy to report no allergies!

We weren't sure if he like it because it was cold, hard on his gums or just plain liked the taste.

Topic: Garrison's First Foods

Message:
Last week (6/2/10) Garrison was able to start eating infant oatmeal mixed with juice.

He's been sitting at the table with the rest of the family at each meal, and has shown great interest watching people eat, and will follow food to their mouths as they eat.

We mixed up some infant oatmeal for him, and as soon as he saw the spoon come his way, he leaned over, grabbed the rim of the bowl, and opened his mouth ready to eat!

Below are some pictures of him eating, and having fun doing it!

Topic: 2010 Family Reunion Camp Out
Date: 2010-06-01 10:43:29
Message:
This year's Beeson Family Reunion camp out was at Sam A. Baker State Park, in Patterson MO over Memorial Day Weekend.

We went down Friday night, and came back on Monday afternoon.

The weather was hot!

Near the campgrounds was a visitor center, camp store, river with sandbar to play on, open fields for throwing frisbee and playing wiffle ball.

This was Garrison's first overnight campout, and we were worried that he might not sleep well with the heat, dogs barking, people partying, and lights all through the night, but he actually did really well!

Below are some pictures from the weekend:

Message: We apologize for not posting any updates to the site in a while. It's been busy at the Beeson house to say the least.

One of the projects we're currently working on, besides our garden, is installing a 2nd bathroom in our house. You can read about it on our other website: LittleHouseOnTheBigHill.com

Otherwise, feel free to checkout the updated picture/slide-show right here on the boy's site!
