Topic: Geocaching in Buder Park
Date: 2008-07-24 14:56:59
Message: One day this week while the weather was cooler and not raining, Grandma, Grandpa and Kimberley went with Emmett and his dad to go Geocaching.

Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online.

For the past few months we've gotten together and walked through parks, conservation areas and wooded areas looking for geocache containers.

On this occasion, we were out at Buder Park in Fenton MO. Most people know there's a North and South Buder park split by Valley Park Rd. However, there's also an "upper" Buder park on the south side of Highway 44.

While 4 of us had our heads down looking on the ground for another container, Emmett was walking next to us in the grass. All of a sudden we hear Emmett yell: "Slides! Slides!" as he was pointing to the slides he had spotted at the far end of the park.

I looked at him and confirmed: "Yup those are slides" and he took off running towards them. Emmett sure does love the slides.
