Message: Well at our house we watch a lot of PBS, for two reasons, primarily, it's the only station that comes in clearly and secondly, we have an 18 month old in residence. However, to enhance our viewing (and prepare for the demise of analog TV) we have a digital converter box, that allows us to choose from 4 different PBS broadcasting stations, one of which is all kids shows all the time. So, there are frequent Sesame Street episodes seen.
While watching the other day with Emmett I had to laugh out loud and wonder if the writers were really trying to appeal to all those parents out there who are watching the PBS programing with their children.
There are spoofs of CSI (RSI: Rhyme Scene Investigators RSI_Rhyme_Scene_Investigation) and there is even a Muppet that looks like David Caruso (personally, I prefer the Muppet version better, Chris the human).
As well as the one I find most humorous, Deparate Housewives (Desparate Houesplants ) complete with a gardener clad in a denim shirt with the sleeves cut-off, who knows just what a plant needs.
