Message: The past few weeks Garrison has been furniture crusing: Holding onto the wall, couch, chair, etc., to enable himself to walk. Then, whenever he gets to the end of the furniture, he sits down and crawls the rest of the way to wherever he wants to go.
Over the weekend Garrison was holding onto dad's hand in the middle of the livingroom floor, and he really wanted to get to mom who was sitting on the couch. He stood up, stretched as far as he could get dad's hand to go, and then let go and took 4 steps over to mom!
Since then we have seen him take 2-3 short steps on his own.
Fairly soon he should be confident enough to walk much farther distances on his own, and mom's "baby elbow" (simmilar to tennis elbow- but resulting from carrying Garrison) and dad's back should heal right up since they won't be carrying him!
