This week Garrison has started teething, and we can see teeth coming in trying to break skin on the bottom gums.
His bedtime routine has been shaken upside down. He still goes to bed at the same time, but he's back awake every 45 minutes, screaming.
Infant Tylenol isn't helping, and he didn't really care for Oragel as his tongue went numb and he kept smacking his lips together.
This up-and-down routine lasts, well it lasts all night unless you let him sleep next to someone (and no wrapping him tightly in a blanket, and putting pillows next to him doesn't help- he wakes up knowing the pillows are there and are not a person).
Last night, for example, we repeated this cycle from 8:30 until after midnight.
It was about that time, midnight, that I looked at Amy and said: "you know what isn't fair? The fact that Emmett has been sleeping right next door to Garrison's room, and he's been sound asleep through all of this screaming."
I'm actually quite thankful that Emmett sleeps through all the commotion because if he didn't we'd have two tired/crabby kids in the morning instead of just the one.
