This week the weather is in the mid 70s, and perfect to get out and do some yard work.
On the list of things to do is to take down the old cedar tree that's dying in the front yard. Got the ladder out, gloves, ear plugs, eye goggles and the chainsaw.
A few hours later and we had the tree all down and cut up.
Don't mind the smoke billowing from the what appears to be the back/top of the house. That's just dad and Emmett burning some of the greenery of the cedar limbs.
When the tree was all down, we took time to count the rings in the stump. We counted 60 rings, which means the old cedar was about 60 years old.
When the tree was almost all the way down, we put the saw down, and let Emmett give the stump a great big push. With a little help, he was able to push over the last of the stump. He thought that was pretty neat.
