| Message: It's been a while since we've posted a new topic on Emmett's blog. That's because we've been pretty busy! We've finished putting joint compound on the basement walls, and have a good coat of primer on them. A few more finishing touches, and we'll be ready to go pick out paint colors. (Emmett wants a blue basement). We've also finished planting the rest of the grass seed around the house, applied fertilizer, and straw to keep the rain from washing away the seed. Today I was finishing putting down the last bit of straw. I was holding chunks of straw in my arms, tearing it apart, and letting it fall, when I saw this image (below) sticking out of the top of the piece of straw I was holding.  Thankfully it was not alive. Must have been picked up by the farm equipment that bundled the straw! |
