| Topic: 8 TONS of Gravel |

| Message: Chris has been working very hard to create a patio outside the former GIANT HOLE in the basement wall (it was only an open access to the house for about 36 hours one weekend). Now that he finally finished the retaining wall to keep the mountain of dirt from flowing back in through the door like the old leaky picture window we got 8.5 tons of gravel delivered today. Emmett was excited when the giant dump truck arrived in the driveway to dump it's load. He stood in the garage and watched as the pile was created. I asked if he wanted to play in it, but he said it was too hot outside.  Later in the afternoon he asked if he could go out and play. He was out the door before I could grab my glass of water, and by the time I made it out he had gone to the sandbox, gotten a dump truck and was climbing to the top of the pile. When he saw me he decided he needed his sunglasses, but didn't want them to hide his eyes in the picture (he will take my glasses off saying "I can't see your eyes mommy.")  After playing on the pile and scooping rocks with his truck he found the best way to get down was to scoot down on his bottom. Needless to say there was white powdery dust covering him from head to toe! |
